The 31st International Conference on Adaptive Structures and Technologies (ICAST 2021) will be held on October 5-8, 2021 as a virtual conference.

ICAST Conferences are looking back to a long series of successful events. In fact, the first ICAST conference was held as a joint USA-Japan conference in Maui (USA) in 1990. Since then, year after year the conference has evolved, rapidly becoming one of the most significant international conferences in the highly multidisciplinary field of smart materials, adaptive structural systems and related applications.

Hosted by ETH Zurich, the 2021 edition of the International Conference on Adaptive Structures and Technologies will combine a high-level scientific content with a personal atmosphere, achieved in particular through its single-session structure.

Programme

The 31st international Conference on Adaptive Structures and Technologies (ICAST2021), as an excellent occasion for discussing the latest progress in the highly multidisciplinary field of smart materials and adaptive structures. The programme is featuring pre-recorded technical sessions with live Q&A presented by invited speakers, live keynote presentations from institutes and laboratories all around the world, as well as poster pitches with interactive Q&A sessions and a best poster award the next day. The registration is now open. Register today and profit from early bird fees until September 7th, 2021.

Registration fees:

  • Regular participant (250 EUR early bird / 300 EUR standard)
  • Student (100 EUR / 150 EUR)
  • Keynote / invited speaker (free)

Extended call for abstracts

Contribute to the conference by presenting your scientific results as poster at a virtual booth. Abstracts (max. 1 page, 11 Pt., in English) are due by the 10th of September 2021 and submitted with your registration via the external pageregistration portal. More information on the requirements and specifics on the call for abstract can be found here.

Location

The conference is taking place online from the 5th of October to the 8th of October 2021. Hosted by the Laboratory of Composite Materials and Adaptive Structures, ETH Zurich, ICAST 2021 will combine high-level research with an interactive exchange on our digital event platform.
